Untamed Gin

Grange Distillery is dedicated to young, new drinkers with 'Untamed' gin, a blend of exotic flavours like peach, dragon fruit and raw mango. They want to create a unique and adventurous drinking experience that celebrates curiosity and new beginnings.

The client (hypothetical) wanted the identity to be fun and youthful. Dot and Grid went with the key words- celebratory and mystical while keeping the wild essence of Untamed. We designed illustrations of showing wildlife and galaxies in vibrant colours differentiating the three flavours through different hero illustrations and highlighted colour schemes on each bottle.

The identity design promised the experience of new adventure. The success of the project bolstered Grange Distillery's reputation as a forward-thinking and innovative brand, capable of creating products that resonate with evolving consumer preferences. The captivating branding contributed to higher sales and revenue for Grange Distillery, appealing to a broader demographic of young, adventurous drinkers.

Targeted at young adults in their 20s and 30s, this gin is designed for urban professionals and social explorers who juggle demanding work schedules with active social lives. Always on the lookout for fresh, exciting experiences that add a touch of adventure to their routine, these consumers will find 'Untamed' gin the perfect companion for clandestine soirées, secret speakeasies, and mixology escapades.
Our design journey for the gin brand began with a moodboard, featuring visuals that were both alluring and enigmatic. We delved into themes that mirrored the brand's mysterious personality, ensuring our concepts aligned with its adventurous spirit. This exploration led us to name the theme "Mystic Alchemy," a title that perfectly captures the enchanting blend of flavors and the brand's captivating essence.
The name "Untamed" was born from this inspiration. It speaks to the wild, unrestrained spirit of those who seek adventure in every sip. Drawing from the mystical elements of fortune tellers, storytellers, and the cosmic universe, "Untamed" encapsulates a gin that defies convention and invites drinkers into a world of mystery and excitement. With flavors as exotic and unpredictable as the name suggests, "Untamed" promises a journey of discovery and delight, appealing to those who crave the unknown and the extraordinary.
The color palette drew inspiration from the exotic flavors and mystical elements. Vibrant hues like neon green, reflecting the logo, and rich tones of peach, dragon fruit, and raw mango were combined with otherworldly shades to create an immersive visual experience. This palette was essential in achieving a cohesive and striking look that embodies the spirit of 'Untamed.'
The result is a gin brand that weaves a mystical aura, capturing the wild, untamed spirit of offbeat, hip individuals. The logo and identity exude this vision with a striking neon green hue in an elegant serif font. A carefully curated color palette, inspired by exotic flavors and mystical elements, amplifies the brand's allure. Enigmatic characters, mirrored on the packaging, add depth and intrigue, ensuring 'Untamed' gin stands out on shelves and entices consumers into a sophisticated, speakeasy-like world.
