Frolic Fields is designed as an annual gathering where parents and children come together to bond, learn, and participate in educational activities. It's more than just a day of fun; it aims to create lasting memories through interactive engagement and shared learning experiences for families. This magical journey emphasizes the importance of family connections and lifelong learning.
The previous year, Sama Birthing and Beyond hosted Sama Fest to commemorate a decade of achievements. The turnout was promising, encouraging the decision to establish it as an annual tradition. To enhance the festival experience, they partnered with Momente Weddings, an expert event planning company, and rebranded the celebration as Frolic Fields. However, the indoor venue posed limitations on space and outdoor activities, giving the event a feel of a modest mom-and-pop festival with limited decor and brand cohesiveness. The founders aspired to create a scalable annual event that could secure sponsorships, maintain consistent branding, and introduce a new theme each year. They envisioned a more appealing event that would continually offer fresh experiences to families, ensuring they return year after year.
We started with a discovery call and reviewed past data, images, and videos to understand the client's vision and goals. We then crafted a strategy, categorizing activities into four zones: Family Adventure, Mindful Living, Fun and Play, and Community Hub. We mapped brand touchpoints and detailed the discoverer’s journey, boosting the client's confidence in our capabilities.
We provided the client with three brand identity options. After one was selected, we iterated on the color palette until it was finalized. The Frolic Fields Festival logo was designed to celebrate movement and connection, with bouncing, overlapping letters representing the diverse family members it welcomes. The energetic typography and shapes illustrate the festival's lively nature and the strong bonds of family.
